Early Morning Fog

In Farm Life by Laura CrossleyLeave a Comment

After dusting off my Canon in the last couple of weeks, I thought it would be fun to wake up in the wee hours of the morning to snap a few sunrise shots of the sunflowers at Grinter Farms nearby.

Boy, was I wrong.

Our little dude is on week #2 of a double ear infection. What was a hellacious week of sleeplessness last week has turned into occasional restlessness and extreme sleeping in this week. To be honest, bring it on!

So, today, when we peeked out the bedroom window to see a pasture full of fog, we stayed in bed with him. He did his usually slow get-up with a handful of head butts and wobbly flops across our bed. Then, we dived into our usual weekday morning routines.

I’m still on a mission to get those sunflower shots before the small window of blooming ends – but, at least for today, I’ll just appreciate the beauty we have right here in our own yard.
