Toddler Chores

With random days of warmer weather, Isai is giving us a glimpse of our summer. Naturally, it’s going to involve a lot of time outside.

Our little dude is really finding his place in the world. He has all your typical 2-year-old quirks – but balances them with these insane moments of “whoa – he’s really doing that!” For example, chores.

With a pen full of goats just a few yards from the house, Isai is quick to remind us that there are chores to be done. Each day starts with “baby goats, baby goats, baby goats” on repeat until we take action. If it’s warm enough, he gets to help.

Our dude has no shame diving right into the middle of the goat pen. He moves the babies around to “feed” them grain and hay. He moves the bowls to the mamas so that they can eat too. Even if they’re empty. He pets every single one of them. Then, when he’s done with his goat work, he chases all of the chickens until everyone is appropriately tired.
