Surprising Sprouts and Beautiful Blooms

The time of year is here once again! Lois’s stunning Irises are taking over the landscaping around the backyard and we couldn’t be happier to welcome them.

The thick greenery in the flower beds more than reminds me that I should have divided these babies last Summer. But that’s not going to keep me from enjoying the abundance of blooms this Spring. There’s an obvious promise of plenty of work ahead later in the year. For now, though, I’m going to soak up every minute of these bright and fun colors!

While the purples and golds are just starting to peek through, I was over the moon to see a few more sprouts popping up this week. My Hostas are back!

Last Summer, I was certain that I completely wrecked the few Hostas I had purchased from the local greenhouse. Everyone says they’re impossible to kill and grow so easily. Um, no – that wasn’t the case here.

Despite looking completely miserable then – they are rich and lush now! I’m jazzed to see what they do in the coming weeks with all the amazing Spring rain we’ve had.

Spring, in fact, is in full swing on the farm. Everything is really going green and coming to life. I’d forgotten just how awesome this place is at this time of year!
