The Quilt Block Stained Glass Collection features designs inspired by vintage and modern quilt blocks. Laura used a combination of paper quilt patterns, photos and sketches to plan, cut and create each piece. The collection is particularly distinguished by the geometric shapes, clean lines and contrasting or complementary colors used in each.

About the process
All of Laura’s stained glass pieces are handmade in the Crossley Farms workshop. During the design phase, she sketches concepts, explores color stories and selects premium glass colors and textures to fit the pattern. Each piece of glass is scored and cut by hand. Copper foil is applied, pressed into place, smoothed and soldered. When finished, hooks are added and patina is applied. From start to finish, each project requires hours of patience and focus of the course of several days. The full process often spans weeks and, occasionally, months.
