A Little Bit of Landscaping

For months, we’ve parked our cars next to a massive overgrown shrub by the garage.

I honestly couldn’t tell you what kind of bush it was. Something evergreen and shaggy. My grandma had several and I always hated them. They’re full and it’s dark when you try to peer into them. In my mind, they’re a haven for critters, spiders, snakes and all the crawlies.

I lieu of burning it down like I would with anything that full-time housed snakes, Aaron cut it out.

For the life of me, I can’t find a before photo. But, trust me, this is a huge improvement. We can finally see the trunk of our gorgeous magnolia tree and I’m looking forward to refinishing this cute second-hand bench I acquired recently. This sweet little nook is taking steps toward being the perfect welcome spot to the backyard and I’m not at all mad about it.
