As of November, we officially completed our plans for the renovation. To say that took a whole lot longer than anticipated would be an understatement. We really thought we would have had this show on the road a year ago.
Now, we’re in the phase of finding our contractors. Luckily, Aaron has a bajillion connections from his work in real estate and my dad’s experience in commercial construction helps us with a few more.
In the past few weeks, we’ve had a handful of tours and bids. The result is this epic set of plans printed and hanging out in the kitchen…simply reminding us that we’re still steps ahead of where we were even if things are moving slowly.
With the new little one on the way, I’m increasingly more anxious to see actual construction taking place. Aaron has assured me that we’re very close.
Man, I hope so.
