We’ve seen a ton of rain lately which is a huge win for the soil and land around here. It’s a bit of a different story for the silvopasture.
We knew we had a small spring running through the pasture. It runs into a smaller unnamed creek in the woodline, then dumps into Mud Creek on the county line west of our property. When it rains, the entire chain really comes to life.
So here we are in the silvopasture staring at an explosion of water running toward the creeks. We love that the goats have some natural water down here, but it’s looking like we have a bit of clean up to do to ensure we don’t run into issues with erosion and washout.
In the mean time, we’ll enjoy seeing everything turn green and fresh!
