Morning Chores with the Cows

Whatever the weather, the cows need water.

Aaron’s innovative water pump in the pond plus barrel on the side-by-side strategy has been working great for transporting water to the cattle pen in the pasture. This morning, Isai and I joined him for the routine. Isai was totally into it.

Our little guy is getting bigger by the minute. As we creep in on his 1st birthday – we’re seeing more and more of his brave and adventurous personality surface.

This morning, he had to be hand-in-hand with dad as we took care of the animals. Pumping the water. Checking the hose. Driving the side-by-side. Filling the tanks. With his big kid shoes plastered on his feet – he took off into the pasture to play and explore among the tall grass.

It’s absolutely crazy to realize just how quickly he’s grown. It’s even more insane to consider that he’s actually running and discovering the farm in the way we imagined when we bought it. From his daily Good Mornings to “helping” with the cows – he’s already getting into his very own chore routine.
