Today has been a big day for the house renovation. The tile for our master bath and guest bath is – finally – here.
We put a lot of time, effort, research, arguments and tears into choosing tile for these spaces. No lies. Apparently, Aaron and I are both super passionate about the surfaces in this house and, for obvious reasons, we are both HGTV-level finish experts that must win every challenge. All that to say, it was a very long road.
So imagine how much we’ve anticipated seeing this truck show up in our driveway.
I was lucky to escape a few minutes of the work-from-home day to greet our drivers and guide them to the tile’s spot in our too-full garage. The poor garage has become the staging zone for all renovation materials that arrive at the farm without an immediate installation plan. So far, we’ve collected sinks, fixtures, my bathtub, some spare wood, almost all of our Kansas City house’s furniture and, now, tile.
Really grateful this place has a two-car garage now that I think about it.
The delivery driver steered this huge truck up the most precarious part of our driveway with some true expertise. Within minutes, he had it backed up to the garage and unloaded our entire palet of floor and wall tiles into one of the last empty spaces available.
Suddenly, the search for our installer is really real. If you know somebody that knows somebody, we’ll take the recommendation!
